Souvik Mondal started shooting in Morali in Bhatpara in August . But the RG Kar incident, political clashes in Bhatpara, and strikes called by the opposition hampered the shooting time and again. Still, the shooting is on. Tnushree Chakraborty, Saptarshi Moulik, and others recently did shooting in Jhargram and Santiniketan. The team was supposed to go to North Bengal for the next phase of shooting. But Cyclone Dana canceled the trip.

Souvik said that three days of shooting are due. Tanushree plays a CBI investigating officer. She told Anandabazar Online, "I played cops before, and did the action scenes without any assistance. I was supposed to do this time also, but everything got canceled. The series deals with the issue of women's trafficking. Morali is the daughter of the poor wage earner Tapas Bauri. They live in the Nijhumpur Rail Station in Birbhum. Suddenly Morali goes missing one day. Patrama starts searching for her and the mystery deepens.

Will the RG Kar incident have any influence on the story? Tanushree said, "The themes are different, but the story is about girls. Hence I can't claim that no influence is there." The director said that Saptarshi Moulik is the big attraction of the series who plays a transgender dancer." Saptarshi had to take dance lessons to play the role. The director said that he drew the example of Rituparno Ghosh. Saptarshi followed it impeccably. His dressing will also have glimpses of Rituparno."

The director is satisfied with the work. He mentioned a recent shot, "Nowadays, trains stop for 30 seconds on a platform. Morali was supposed to board the train and get down within that gap. I was worried, can a ten-year-old girl do that?" The girl did a perfect shot. Sankar Debnath, Sinjini Chakraborty, Ayesha Bhattacharya, Jammy Banerjee, Juin Sarkar, and Manas Mukherjee play other important roles. Rakesh Ghosh and Souvik wrote the screenplay. The series will be released next year.
