Speaking in an interview, the young producer revealed that Balakrishna wanted his son to work with Venky Atluri. As a result, Balakrishna watched a special screening of Lucky Baskhar. According to Naga Vamsi, Balayya locked Venky Atluri for the project just as the first half of the film ended.
