Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy’s L360 gets a release date? Find out

Mohanlal is currently shooting for his 360th film, which has been tentatively titled L360, in Theni, Tamil Nadu. The movie marks the veteran actor’s first onscreen collaboration with director Tharum Moorthy, who rose to fame with Saudi Vellakka and Operation Java. Initially, L360 was slated to be released by the final quarter of 2024. But later the release of the family drama was pushed to 2025. Reportedly, the Mohanlal starrer has now got a release date.

Mohanlal’s L360 release date out?

If the recent reports are to be believed, the makers of L360 have now finalized the release date of the highly anticipated project. According to the latest updates, the Mohanlal starrer has been slated to hit the theatres on January 23, 2025, as the Malayalam superstar’s first release of the year. Director Tharun Moorthy and his team are planning to wrap up the filming of the untitled project in a few days. Later, the team will kickstart the post-production work, immediately.

The latest updates suggest that Antony Perumbavoor, the senior producer and close associate of Mohanlal, has bagged the Kerala and the rest of India distribution rights of L360, for his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. Even though the Tharun Moorthy directorial was rumoured to be getting a December 2024 release earlier, the involvement of Aashirvad Cinemas confirm that the movie will hit the theatres only after the release of Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz.

Mohanlal is set to play the role of Shanmugham, a small-town-based taxi driver, in Tharum Moorthy’s untitled film. Shobana, the veteran actress is appearing as the female lead in the movie, which features a massive star cast including Maniyanpilla Raju, Farhaan Faasil, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Binu Pappu, and others in the supporting roles. Jakes Bejoy is composing the songs and original score. Shaji Kumar handles the cinematography. L360 is bankrolled by M Renjith, under the popular banner Rejaputhra Films.
