Fans have been curious about Mohanlal's film Neru. In his latest social media post, the actor has given his followers a glimpse of the film. In the pictures, he can be seen sitting on a chair as he reads a book, with photos of him as a young lawyer in the background. It can thus be speculated that Mohanlal plays a lawyer in the film. The actor was last seen as a lawyer in the 2009 Malayalam film Janakan, which also starred Suresh Gopi.
About Neru
Scripted by Drishyam 2's Santhi Mayadevi, Neru is bankrolled by Aashirvad Cinemas, which backed Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam and 12th Man. The teaser for the film, which was recently released, featured a braille book, a gavel, and the Lady of Justice. Priyamani plays the female lead in Neru, which also has Anaswara Rajan, Jagadeesh, and Ganesh Kumar in important roles.
Neru is Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph's 5th collaboration
Neru marks the fifth collaboration of Mohanlal with Jeethu, after Drishyam, Drishyam 2, 12th Man, and Ram. The shooting of the action film Ram is yet to be completed; it has unfinished portions in the UK, Tunisia, and M orocco. Jeethu decided to pursue Neru after the filming of Ram got stalled due to various reasons.
Mohanlal's Barroz and Malaikottai Vaaliban
Meanwhile, Mohanlal's upcoming release is Barroz, which is also his directorial debut. Recently, the actor confirmed that the children's fantasy film will hit theatres on December 21 in over 60 countries. Barroz is mounted on a large scale, and its visual effects are created using cutting-edge technology. The release of another Mohanlal-starrer, Malaikottai Vaaliban, is likely to be postponed.
The pan-Indian film Vrushabha
Mohanlal has completed the first schedule of his pan-Indian film Vrushabha, which is helmed by Nanda Kishore. The BTS pictures of the film feature the actor in a fierce warrior look. Vrushabha, which revolves around a father-son relationship, is touted to have two timelines. The film also stars Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, and Zahrah S Khan. Mohanlal is likely to join Empuraan, the sequel to his 2019 hit film Lucifer in October.
