Mohanlal, the legendary Malayalam superstar is currently busy with the shooting of his 360th film. The veteran actor is teaming up with Tharun Moorthy, the Operation Java fame director for the project. As reported earlier, the yet-to-be-named film, which is tentatively titled L360, also marks Mohanlal’s reunion with senior actress Shobana. Earlier, it was reported that L360 will hit the theatres during the Onam season of 2024. However, the recent updates suggest that the movie is getting an Ayudha Pooja release.
Even though initially L360 was planned as an Onam special release, the recent updates suggest that the project might get pushed a little. As per the reports, Mohanlal, director Tharun Moorthy, and the team are set to wrap the ongoing film schedule, in a couple of days. Later, the team will resume filming only after the superstar completes the pending schedules for L2: Empuraan, the upcoming Lucifer sequel directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
So, it is now impossible for the L360 team to release the film during the Onam season, which falls in the second week of September 2024. Director Tharum Moorthy and his team are reportedly not planning to rush the release. That is why the team decided to push the release of the Mohanlal starrer to the Ayudha Pooja season, which falls in the last week of October 2024.

In that case, it is safe to assume that the Mohanlal starrer will have a box office clash with the two most anticipated Tamil films of the year – Suriya starrer Kanguva, and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi. However, the makers are reportedly confident about the box office performance of L360, which is touted to be a unique family entertainer. The official title of the Tharun Moorthy directorial is expected to be released along with the first look poster, in a couple of weeks.
