Mohanlal's L2 Empuraan teaser loading; censor details, release date out

With Mohanlal’s Thudarum unlikely to keep its date for January 30, 2025, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan is set to be the first release for the Malayalam superstar in 2025. L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is set for a grand release on March 27, 2025. Lucifer fans have begun the countdown for the big release, and even the film’s teaser is much awaited. Prithviraj’s L2 Empuraan teaser

Prithviraj Sukumaran is expected to unveil the teaser of L2 Empuraan this weekend. Now industry trackers have shared online that the L2 Empuraan teaser has been censored with UA 13+. The runtime was also revealed to be two minutes and 22 seconds. Online portals also claimed that the teaser could be unveiled on January 26 during the silver jubilee celebrations of Aashirvad Cinemas.

L2 Empuraan cast and who plays whom

Mohanlal is set to reprise his role of Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam in L2 Empuraan, which is the second part in the Lucifer trilogy. Tovino Thomas, who was able to make a mark with Lucifer despite it featuring an ensemble cast, will be seen as Jathin Ramdas. His character poster was revealed on January 21, on his 36th birthday. Manju Warrier plays Jathin’s sister Priyadarshini Ramdas.

Prithviraj will be seen as Zayed Masood, while Indrajith Sukumaran essays the role of Govardhan. Saikumar as politician Mahesha Varma, Baiju Santhosh, and Fazil are also part of the cast, reprising their roles from the 2019 film.

Like its predecessor, L2: Empuraan is also helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and penned by Murali Gopy.

Lucifer, which packed action, and drama, had followed the events after the death of a political leader in Kerala. The 2019 film ended with Stephen Nedumpally proclaiming that he is Khureshi Abraam and fans are eager to know more. For now, fans will be getting to see a glimpse of L2 Empuraan in the upcoming weekend.
