Mohanlal is stepping into a new phase in his acting career, with some promising projects in the pipeline. The superstar, who is busy promoting his directorial debut Barroz, recently hinted at returning as George Kutty in Drishyam 3. Interestingly, the recent updates suggest that the veteran actor will reunite with director Jeethu Joseph for one more film, in 2025. Producer Antony Perumbavoor’s recent social media post suggests that the rumours are indeed true.

Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph to reunite; Antony Perumbavoor drops hints

Antony Perumbavoor, the senior film producer took to his official social media handles and dropped a special post, as Neru, his 2023-released film completed one year of its release. The producer posted a location with Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, the leading man and director of the courtroom drama film, with a special post. In his post, Antony Perumbavoor hinted that the trio might reunite for a project, soon.

“Neru, Aashirvad Cinemas’ 32nd production, holds a special place in my heart. Collaborating with Jeethu Joseph, who is like family, and Lal sir has always been a privilege,” reads the producer’s post. “I am deeply grateful to the cast and crew for their hard work and to everyone who supported us in making Neru one of our finest films. With just 32 days to a major milestone for Aashirvad Cinemas, I look forward with hope and excitement to more ventures with this exceptional team,” Antony Perumbavoor further added.

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s next outing

In a recent interview, Mohanlal confirmed that he is planning to reunite with Jeethu Joseph for Drishyam 3, the third part of their iconic 2013-released film, Drishyam. However, the grapevine suggests that the actor-director duo might reunite for another standalone film, before reuniting for the highly anticipated project. According to the rumour mills, Mohanlal might play the role of a police officer in the upcoming untitled Jeethu Joseph project, which is touted to be a crime thriller.
