Mohanlal is currently enjoying a break after wrapping up the first shooting schedule of his upcoming project with Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2: Empuraan. The Malayalam superstar, who was in Dubai for a short vacation, is taking social media by storm after a picture of him with renowned Tamil actor Dhanush went viral. The Malaikottai Vaaliban actor met the Captain Miller actor recently at the Dubai airport, where they greeted each other.

In the picture from the Dubai airport that has been creating a buzz on social media, Mohanlal and Dhanush are seen together. The candid picture was clicked by a fan and in it, one can see the Malayalam superstar and the National Award-winning actor shaking hands and greeting each other.
Mohanlal looked at his casual best in a maroon shirt and a pair of black trousers. He was flaunting his look as Khureshi Ab’Ram in Empuraan, the Lucifer sequel. Dhanush, on the other hand, was dressed in a crisp white shirt and a pair of jeans.
Mohanlal’s upcoming projects
The Malayalam superstar began shooting for L2: Empuraan, the upcoming action drama helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, in October. The first schedule of the shoot wrapped up in Ladakh recently. As per the latest updates, director Prithviraj and his team are planning to resume the shooting of the project with a foreign schedule in January 2024.
Mohanlal will be next seen in director Lijo Jose Pellissery's film Malaikottai Vaaliban, which is set to hit theatres on January 25, 2024. He also plays the lead role in Vrushabha, a period action film that is in the final stages of its production. After many delays, Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, will release in theatres in March 2024.
Dhanush’s work front
The National Award-winner is awaiting the release of his ambitious project, Captain Miller. The film will be released in theatres in January 2024, during Pongal. Dhanush is set to make a comeback to Bollywood with Tere Ishk Mein, which is helmed by Aanand L Rai. He is also reportedly set to play legendary musician Ilaiyaraaja in an upcoming untitled biopic. The project is expected to be officially launched soon.
