Mohanlal is stepping into a new exciting phase in his acting career in 2025, after a long period of mostly underwhelming outings. The legendary superstar has a massive line-up of films in his kitty, which are helmed by both the senior filmmakers, as well as the young talents. As per the reports, Mohanlal is all set to team up with Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, for an upcoming project in 2025. The new update has left the cinephiles highly excited.
If the recent updates are to be believed, Mohanlal is planning to team up with the Aavesham director, by the end of 2025. Jithu Madhavan reportedly narrated a story idea to the Malayalam superstar recently, and the actor immediately loved the idea. After Mohanlal greenlit the project, the filmmaker immediately started scripting for the film, which is touted to be an action-comedy thriller. As per the reports, the project will start rolling by the second half of 2025.
The recent updates also suggest that Mohanlal and Jithu Madhavan’s untitled project will be bankrolled by Gopkulam Gopalan, under the prestigious banner, Sri Gokulam Movies. In that case, the project will mark the legendary actor’s first collaboration with the banner. Sushin Shyam is expected to reunite with the filmmaker after the massive success of Aavesham, for the project. Bengaluru, Karnataka is said to be the prime location of the untitled film. A major announcement on the same is expected to be out soon.
The superstar is all set to release his directorial debut Barroz, on December 25, 2024. Later, Mohanlal will kickstart 2025 with the release of Tharun Moorthy’s Thudarum in January, and later, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan, in March 2025. The veteran actor will next join the sets of the upcoming Sathyan Anthikad directorial, which has been titled Hridaya Poorvam. Later, he will resume the filming of MMMN, the upcoming multi-starrer which marks his reunion with Mammootty, and first collaboration with director Mahesh Narayanan.
