Ishaa Saha, Anirban Bhattacharya, Arjun Chakrabarty, and Anusha Viswanathan are geared up with their romantic film Mithye Premer Gaan. Directed by debutant filmmaker Paroma Neotia – the film will hit the theatre on February 10. The film revolves around a musician, played by Anirban, and his love for Ishaa.

Talking about the film, Ishaa said that she said yes to the film after reading the film. However, as luck would have it, the shooting of her other film, Kacher Manush with dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee, got postponed. “I was very tense. Then a senior member from the fraternity counselled me and finally convinced me to do the two films together. That was the first time for me that I worked in two films simultaneously,” she said.

Talking about her character, Ishaa said, “In the film, the name of my character is Answesha. She is a journalist. Two time period is portrayed in the film – one is when I was young and fell in love with Aveek (Anirban Bhattacharya) and then the grown-up Anwesha after their break up.”

Ishaa also explained her experience of working with Paroma – who hails from an influential business family (Paroma is the daughter of industrialist Harsh Neotia) but is a rank newcomer in the Bengali film industry. “While Paroma comes from an influential business family, she is an outright-trained director. She knows what she wants. She has a clear vision. Also, what I liked about her is she is unabashed about her love for Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan. Also, the team is young and full of energy,” Ishaa said.
