Mithya - The Darker Chapter: Betrayal and vengeance take center stage in Huma Qureshi's series

Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani returned to the second season of Mithya, titled, Mithya - The Darker Chapter. They reprised the roles of Juhi and Rhea. The series has been receiving mixed reviews since its release. The plot follows Juhi facing accusations of plagiarism from a writer, Amit Chaudhary (Naveen Kasturia) as the latter claims that she copied the plot for his book Dhundh from his unpublished manuscript. Days after the release, the makers dropped a captivating new poster of Mithya - The Darker Chapter. 

Mithya - The Darker Chapter new poster is out

On November 7, ZEE5 shared a new poster of Mithya - The Darker Chapter featuring Huma Qureshi, Avantika Dassani, and Naveen Kasturia. The poster shows Huma standing on one side and Avantika and Naveen on the other side. There is a wall with drops of blood between them. Through the poster, it is clear that the plot unfolds some bitter truths and dark secrets.

While sharing the poster, the streaming platform wrote, "Warning The chapters of this book are stained with schemes and revenge Watch #MithyaTheDarkerChapter now streaming, only on #ZEE5!"

OTTPlay review of the series said, "Mithya - The Darker Chapter is filled with so many complex and incoherent plots that you feel lost at one point in time." It also added that the series has too many unnecessary cliffhangers that destroy the suspense. However, season 2 of Mithya also captures a mother's sacrifice to save her child.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Huma said that she was trying to take on roles in diverse genres.

"I feel honored to portray such varied characters—from an unpadh Chief Minister in Maharani to a padhi likhi Juhi in Mithya, who is a writer. In Mithya: The Darker Chapter, the storyline becomes darker, more evil, and pulpier, making it an incredibly thrilling character to play. I've truly enjoyed this experience, especially because I get to collaborate with such talented actors and an amazing crew.”
