Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani are all set to reprise the roles of Juhi and Rhea, respectively, in the upcoming second season of Mithya. Titled Mithya - The Darker Chapter, the series is directed by Kapil Sharma. Ahead of the release, Huma and Avantika gave a quick recap of what happened in the first season of ZEE5's (OTTPlay Premium) thriller series.
Mithya Season 1 recap
On October 31, ZEE5 shared a video on their official Instagram account. In the video, Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani can be heard telling the recap of the first season of Mithya.
The video shows them saying that in the first season, Juhi, portrayed by Huma, plays the role of a Hindi literature professor, constantly facing conflicts with her student Rhea, played by Avantika Dassani. The conflict begins when Juhi accuses Rhea of plagiarism. This angers Rhea and she tries to take revenge in various ways which also includes the murder of Juhi's husband, Neil Adhikari.

Sharing the video, the streaming platform captioned it, "Catching you up with their lies and preparing you for the schemes #MithyaTheDarkerChapter streaming from 1st November, only on ZEE5!"
Meanwhile, Mithya The Darker Chapter will be available for streaming on ZEE5 as well as OTTPlay Premium from November 1.
Huma Qureshi on Mithya Season 2
In an earlier statement, Huma Qureshi expressed her excitement for Mithya The Darker Chapter and said that the show let her explore a different side of her as an actor as she plays a vulnerable and vengeful character in the show.
"I am grateful to the makers for thinking of me for this exciting, meaty role and am looking forward to the next chapter in my character's life," she added.
The trailer of the upcoming season of Mithya shows Juhi basking in the success of her new book, Dhoondh, but is immediately taken aback by accusations of plagiarism from another author, Amit Chaudhary (Naveen Kasturia). Then comes Naveen as author Amit Chaudhary in the scene. While Juhi's is messed up, Rhea continues to plot and game plan to be close to her father and yearns for her acceptance in the family.
