After the renewal of the second season of the ZEE5 series, Mithya, Huma Qureshi kicked off the shoot earlier in February this year. Helmed by Rohan Sippy, the psychological thriller drama web series is produced by Applause Entertainment and Rose Audio Visual Production. Now, the streaming platform announced the new season by sharing a new poster of season 2 and also teased fans about the release date.

On October 3, ZEE5 took to their social media accounts and shared a captivating poster of Huma Qureshi's Mithya Season 2. The actress will reprise her role as Juhi Adhikari in the second season. The poster features the key characters posing with intense looks.
Sharing the image, the streaming platform captioned it, "Let the game of secrets and revenge begin #MithyaNewSeason coming soon only on ZEE5!"

Mithya Season 2's shooting begins
Earlier in the video shared by Huma, the actress was seen expressing excitement because it is the first day of shooting for Mithya Season 2. While sharing the video, she wrote on her Instagram page that it had begun, and she also thanked fans for showing all their love for her character Juhi in Mithya.

Naveen Kasturia roped in for Mithya 2
Naveen Kasturia, who is known for his performances in TVF Aspirants, TVF Pitchers, Kota Factory, and more, has now joined the cast of Mithya Season 2.
According to a reliable source of iwmbuzz, “Naveen Kasturia will play an engaging role, something which will be different.” However, no official announcement of the same has been made yet.
The first season of Mithya stars Huma Qureshi, Avantika Dassani, Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajit Kapur, and Samir Soni in pivotal roles. For the unversed, the show is adapted from the British television show titled Cheat and is set against the backdrop of Darjeeling where the story unfolds with multiple twists and turns in the plethora of lies and secrets.

In the first season, Juhi, portrayed by Huma, assumes the role of a Hindi literature professor, constantly facing conflicts with her student Rhea, played by Avantika Dassani. What begins as a classroom dispute quickly turns into a toxic psychological battle between the two women, which in turn leads to tragic results and unexpected revelations.
