Mithya: Huma Qureshi's show marks the biggest opening for an original series on ZEE5

Huma Qureshi starrer Mithya has been creating a buzz since its release on ZEE5. The latest web series marks the first venture of debutant Avantika Dassani, who has been praised for her performance alongside Huma. Reportedly, the gripping psychological thriller series has achieved the biggest opening in the first 48 hours of launch and in the first week of launch for an Original series on ZEE5 in the last one year.

The show, which has been adapted from the British show titled Cheat, has been gathering great responses from the critics and the fans as well. 

Produced by Applause Entertainments, the Rohan Sippy directorial also has Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajit Kapur in key roles along with Samir Soni and Indraneil Sengupta as supporting characters.

Talking about his latest project, the filmmaker mentioned in a recent statement that the Huma starrer was a labour of hard work, passion and teamwork. "I am glad that the viewers have loved and accepted our show wholeheartedly," he added.

The lead actress herself expressed her feelings about the responses that Mithya is getting. "The response to Mithya and to my character of Juhi Adhikari has been overwhelming. I had a feeling when we started working on this project that we are onto something big but looking at the love and the response has me smiling and feeling immense gratitude," Huma said in a recent statement. She further added that her character from this series will stay with her forever.

Meanwhile, the debutant Avantika also mentioned that she is feeling overwhelmed with the audiences' response to her first outing.

All the episodes of Mithya are available to be streamed on ZEE5.
