Mithun Chakraborty, Jeet Gannguli, and Amit Kumar made a return after a long hiatus. They are together again after the 2006 film MLA Fatakesto. The trio will be in Raj Chakraborty’s next film, produced by SVF. The shooting has started. Jeet is elated to be together again after 18 years.

Jeet shared the news with the media after recording a song. He said that it was his fifth work with Raj. The production house is also close to him. So, it seems like a reunion. He also said that his song would be on Mithun’s lips. It is a song of Goddess Durga. Rahul Dev Burman was the first to make Amit Kumar sing in this special genre.  Now, Jeet is the second musician to have Amit Kumar sing this kind of song.

Jeet reminisced. He told Anandabazar Online, “Raj, SVF, and I have been together since the film Chirodini Tumi Je Amar. Then there were Challenge, Prem Amar, and Dui Prithibi. I am very excited. There will be three or four songs in the movie and I composed them. I recorded the first song on Saturday in Mumbai’s recording studio. Amit ji was elated.” Priyo Chatterjee wrote the lyrics. Whose idea was it to bring back Amit Kumar after so many years? Jeet said that he discussed the songs with the director and the producer. Amit Kumar’s name was discussed at that time. Others agreed instantly because a voice was needed that would suit Mithun. No one could do that except Amit Kumar.

Is the singer’s voice like the past? Jeet replied ‘Exactly like before. That golden voice. Arrangers of this generation were present in the recording and they were amazed at his singing.’ Jeet also claimed that, though the song was devotional, it had a lot of melody. So, Amit Kumar did not sing a conventional devotional song.
