Mithai ends as Soumitrisha Kundu gears up for a new journey on the big screen

Mithai's last-day shoot was on May 31. Bharatlakkhi Studio was filled with Mithai fans. They were sad to see their favorite story end. For the last two and half years the fans have been fighting over the characters, exchanging ideas about the events, and spreading many moments regarding Mithai and Sid. Finally, the journey ends now. 

Soumitrisha Kundu has always been warm with her fans. She shared their posts on her Insta Story. She also took selfies with them and gave them autographs on the last day. The fans brought gifts for her, including pens, showpieces, pictures, paintings, and golden jewelry. 

Soumitrisha told Tolly Times, “I feel embarrassed if someone brings jewellery. But they emotionally tell me that they bought this for me. This will stay as memories. They gave these from their earnings. Nowadays, people are selfish. We only think of ourselves. In this situation, they are giving me gifts, praying for me to the gods, for me who is not of any blood relation to them. Who does that? I don't know if I deserve so much love.”

Soumitrisha plays dual roles as Mithai and Mithi. The actress said that playing dual characters gave her confidence. She was nervous at the beginning, but now she knows that she can go on with flying colours in any challenging role. 

The actress said that right now she does not have any plans to return to television. She will soon be busy with the shooting of Pradhan with Dev. The film will be directed by Avijit Sen and produced by Atanu Roychoudhury. Paran Bandyopadhyay will also be in the film that will be released in December.
