First things first. The said film was initially called as ‘Capsule Gill’, which was later changed to ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue’. Now, the makers have (finally) settled on the film’s title as 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’. The film’s leading actor Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared the gripping teaser of the film.
Akshay Kumar shared the film’s teaser and captioned it stating, “In 1989, one man showed courage and conviction that saved lives! #MissionRaniganjTeaser out now. In a nutshell, the film’s teaser is nothing less than spectacular.
The film’s teaser will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. The teaser is filled with tales of courage, hope, willpower, never-say-never attitude that’s laced with never losing hope! The film will see Akshay Kumar in the role of the heroic Jaswant Singh Gill, who played an extremely important role in real life rescue of the many miners who were trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj (hence the title). Touted to be one of the world's biggest and most challenging rescue missions ever, the said incident had occurred in the year 1989.
The teaser starts off with the super stating ‘Raniganj Coalfield 13 November 1989’. This is followed by a group of coal miners who have their headgear with lights entering a tunnel. This is followed by a certain miner sensing water drops falling on his finger. Since all the miners are underground, even a drop of water from an unknown source becomes a cause of extreme concern. This is followed by water gushing inside the mine in full flow. There enters Akshay Kumar who tells his rescue team that, if at all there is even one single life who is breathing below (in the mine), that’s because they are waiting for us! Thereafter the teaser shows successful glimpses of the impossible rescue mission, that gets led by Akshay Kumar alongwith his dedicated team.
The film 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ is all set to be released on 6th October this year. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra (as the leading lady), Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Varun Badola, Pavan Malhotra and Ravi Kishan in important roles. The film has been directed by Tinu Suresh Desai.
