After the success of OMG2, Akshay Kumar is all set to bring a real-life story through his upcoming release, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. The real-life story of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who valiantly saved trapped miners in the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989, served as the basis for the movie. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra.

The film is all set to hit the big screens tomorrow, that is, October 6, 2023. Ahead of its theatrical release, we have got to know where Mission Raniganj will be streaming on OTT. And it is official that the film is set for a Netflix release a couple of months after its theatrical run.
Parineeti apparently makes a 10-minute extended special appearance in the movie. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the movie is about a bunch of miners who are trapped in a mine and need to be rescued quickly before they collapse. In a situation like this, the producers had to concentrate on the primary track to maintain the audience's interest and excitement. Parineeti Chopra's tune is therefore not given much attention. “Hence, there’s very little focus on Parineeti Chopra’s track. Her screen time is around 10 minutes,” the source added.

Besides Akshay Kumar Tinu Suresh Desai's directorial film Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue also stars Ravi Kishan, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, and Pavan Malhotra. The 1989 Raniganj Coalfields accident served as the inspiration for the movie, which tells the heroic story of engineer Jaswant Singh Gill and his colleagues, who fought hard to free roughly 65 trapped miners.
Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue is the new title for the film, which was previously known as The Great Indian Rescue. The movie is scheduled to premiere on October 6, 2023.
