Amazon Prime Video announced today that Tom Cruise starrer ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ will now be available on its platform from January 11 onwards. “Hold tight, the stakes have never been higher️. It is time for Mission: Impossible - The Dead Reckoning Part I #MI7OnPrime, January 11,” wrote Amazon Prime Video on Instagram today.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is an American spy action film helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, and co-written with Erik Jendresen. Serving as the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), it stands as the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, leading an ensemble cast featuring Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, and Henry Czerny. The storyline follows Hunt and his Impossible Missions Force (IMF) team as they confront "the Entity," a formidable rogue Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Another Mission: Impossible sequel in the making?

If reports are to be believed, a direct follow-up to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025. Paramount Pictures, the series' official production house, has pushed back the release of the next "Mission: Impossible" by nearly a full year, shifting it from the original date of June 28, 2024, to the new slot on May 23, 2025.
