After a few Bengali and English films, including a National Award for Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002), Konkona Sensharma began her career in Hindi cinema with Page 3, released 20 years ago. The actor hadn't thought of it as her Bollywood debut or anything like that because she was not sure if she wanted to continue being an actor or get a real job instead.

Discovering Mumbai and building friendships during Page 3 shoot

Konkona further told Hindustan Times that she got to know Mumbai during the time she shot for Page 3. Madhur Bhandarkar and his assistants showed her the city by local train, and she will never forget them. The actor got to see a lot of cool places and meet some wonderful people. Her friendships with Tara Sharma and Sandhya Mridul have not faded. It was the deciding factor that kept her in the acting industry. After completing Page 3, she decided to relocate to Mumbai.

Konkona stated that even when she was younger, she didn't really bother too much about the industry's perception of her because the industry is not just one thing. This was in response to a question about how the industry's view of her has evolved over the years. There is very little she can do to influence how other people see her. The actor's recognition stands out as a hidden blessing. She feels fortunate to have received acceptance.

Konkona Sensharma's fondness for Anurag Basu and working on Metro... In Dino

There are a number of exciting projects in the actor's future, including Metro... In Dino. Anurag Basu's upcoming sequel to Life in a... Metro features Konkona as a common actor between the 2007 and 2017 releases.

She responded by saying that she loves Anurag and that he is such a lovely person—so relaxed and stress-free. He serves as the unifying factor. The filmmaker's mastery of his field is evident in his extensive knowledge and command of his art. Konkona really enjoys collaborating with him. Being the lone connection doesn't make her feel responsible in any way. How should she proceed, since it's just Anurag? He possesses the physical attributes necessary to successfully carry out that task.

Missing Irrfan Khan while working on the sequel

Konkona had a fantastic time working with Anurag the first time, but around this time she has to admit she missed Irrfan Khan so much, referring to her time spent working with the late actor in the first film. As they were filming certain sequences, he kept popping into my head. Konkona had just given Irrfan the moniker Monty in the first film. Not only did she experience extreme sadness during certain passages, but she was also deeply thinking about him. However, meeting Anurag again has been an incredible experience and now Konkona is eagerly anticipating that release.

Later this year, Metro... In Dino will hit the big screen.
