The Miss Universe Pageant is all set to return to find the next stunning beauty who will take the crown and make her country proud this year. The beauty pageant, one of the most popular of the Big Four international beauty pageants, will be available for live streaming in India as well.
Who won last year’s Miss Universe pageant?
It was a proud moment for India, when Punjab’s Harnaaz Sandhu was declared the winner of last year’s pageant, which was held in Eilat, Israel, in December 2021. Sandhu is only the third Indian to take home the crown in over two decades. Previously the title was earned by Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta in 1994 and 2000 respectively.
Will Steve Harvey be returning as host for Miss Universe 2023?
Popular American television presenter Steve Harvey has hosted the pageant numerous times, from 2015. The host has found himself on the receiving end of trolling when he announced the wrong name as winner during the pageant on two separate occasion. Harvey will not be returning as host this year.
This year’s hosts will be Olivia Culpo, who took the crown home for Miss Universe 2012 and The Real actress Jeannine Mai Jenkins.
Who is representing India at this year’s Miss Universe pageant?
India will be represented by 23-year-old Karnataka native Divita Rai. This year’s pageant will feature 86 contestants. Rai is also the winner of Miss Diva Universe 2022.
When and where to watch the Miss Universe 2023 pageant on OTT?
The Miss Universe 2023 pageant will take place on January 15, Sunday, at 6:30 AM(IST). The pageant will be held at the Ernest N Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. In India, the competition can be live streamed on Voot and can also be watched on JKN18 channel's official Facebook and YouTube channels.
