Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty is the latest Telugu release which has become a talking point all over. It has now been declared a smash hit at the box office. The romantic drama started on a very dull note on September 7, 2023, thanks to Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which was also released on the same day and dominated the openings all over the country.
But as the word of mouth for Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty was quite good, the occupancy grew from the second day and the film is now performing quite well at the domestic and overseas box office. The film has completed a week of its run and has made Rs 19 crores net to date in India. The pre-release business of the film was locked at Rs 15 crore share and the film has now crossed the figure with a good margin.
In the US too, the film has received a thumping reception as it has crossed the coveted one million mark at the box office. Even on the weekdays, the film is seeing decent occupancy. Naveen Polishetty is already in the US and has been promoting the film from the day of its release.
Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty has been directed by Mahesh Babu P and he is being lauded for the way he handled such a very bold subject which has not been tried in Telugu cinema before. UV Creations is the production house of the film and they are holding a special show just for women today across the Telugu states.
On the other hand, Netflix has bought the OTT rights to the film for a fancy price. As per the update, the film will premiere in the second week of October 2023. Radhaan has scored the music for this film which is about a woman in her late 30s who wants to become a mother without marriage.
Anushka Shetty plays the female lead in this film and her performance and chemistry with Naveen Polishetty has been hugely appreciated by the audience and critics alike. We need to see how much will this romantic drama make in the days to come.
