Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty on OTT: Makers not happy with the early digital release

Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty is a smash hit at the box office and has made Naveen Polishetty a big star in the Telugu film industry. He has single-handedly promoted the film all alone when even the makers pulled their hands away from the film after the film's release. UV Creations bankrolled the film on a decent budget and they made double the money at the box office.

We at OTTplay have already reported that the film's digital rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix for a whopping price. The romantic drama, which was released on September 7, 2023, is all set to release on Netflix on October 5, 2023, which is under one month after the film's release. The film is still in the theatres and is attracting decent crowds in its fourth week.

As the film was doing well at the theatres, the makers approached Netflix to delay the OTT release of the film by a week or so. However, as the OTT streaming giant did not allow the postponement, the makers could not do anything and had to comply with the OTT deal. 

Not many thought the film would be such a big hit as it has been in the making for over two years now. Mahesh Babu P directed the film which had Anushka Shetty as the female lead. She plays a 40-year-old woman who wants to have a baby without marriage. The chemistry between the lead pair was one of the biggest attractions of the film. 

Naveen Polishetty took the film in hand and went to the US twice to promote the film. He is now one of the biggest young stars in Telugu cinema and has lined up big films in the days to come.
