It's official! The much-loved web show franchise Mirzapur is all set to return but in a different format. After three successful seasons, Mirzapur has been adapted into a film for a big-screen experience for audiences. An official announcement was made today with Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu's promotional video. Amazon Prime Video dropped the announcement video on social media and caused excitement among fans.

Amazon Prime Video put an end to all speculations surrounding Mirzapur The Film with its official announcement. In the promotional video, Divyenndu aka Munna Tripathi confirmed his comeback in the Mirzapur world and said that he is 'immortal'. Abhishek Banerjee is also seen in this clip.

While sharing this video, the streaming platform mentioned, "Diwali pe sabko mithai milti hai, lekin yeh lo, Mirzapur ki asli barfi MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon (sic)." Much to everyone's delight, Mirzapur The Film is a theatrical release. It will be out in theatres in 2026. However, the release date is not confirmed yet.
Gurmeet Singh will be directing Mirzapur The Film while it is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The crime thriller will be created by Puneet Krishna.

In a joint statement, Excel Entertainment's Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani expressed excitement about bringing Mirzapur as a film on the big screen. Calling it a 'landmark milestone', the duo added, "Over the course of three successful seasons, this acclaimed franchise has struck all the right chords with fans through its powerful storytelling and memorable characters – from the likes of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Bhaiya, and Munna Bhaiya, to name a few."
