SPOILER ALERT! It took almost four years for Amazon Prime Video and Excel Entertainment to bring back the mass-popular, iconic show that they introduced us to in 2018. Mirzapur Season 3 is now finally here, and after countless requests and crazy questions, the third season is now streaming on the platform. The show begins at an interesting point where viewers are getting restless to know whether Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu) died or not in the massacre that happened in the finale of Season 2. The first frame answers that question and the rest of the season explores Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu’s (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) reign, the opposition to them, Kaleen Bhaiya's recovery from his wounds, and his return to form. However, what has left everyone shocked is the climax of the season. To our collective surprise, there is even a post-credit scene.
In case you haven't seen Mirzapur Season 3, this is your cue to stop reading. You have already read a spoiler, and more are on their way. The final 20-odd minutes of the last episode is where the entire game of the Mirzapur throne is turned upside down yet again. The entire season focuses on Hulk Guddu and Brain Golu trying to stay in power in Mirzapur while Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma) collects opponents against them, as he also continues to take care of Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi). The game takes a wild turn when Shatrughan (Vijay Varma) kidnaps Golu and fakes her death. Guddu goes wild and forgets he has to make decisions with his brain too.
It is here that the climax of Season 3 unfolds. We see Guddu killing a pivotal character in the most Game of Thrones way possible, and his mother surrenders him to the cops by becoming the prime witness. He is taken to jail, where Madhuri gets a golden opportunity to break and kill him. A prison fight ensues, and Guddu is defeated and brutally beaten by the prison mates. This is also the time when Kaleen Bhaiya returns to the game after being in the background for a while. He wants to be the sole owner of the Mirzapur throne and ends up killing Sharad, who dies on the Gaddi.

Kaleen Bhaiya returns with a bang as he kills every possible competitor in sight, all of whom are gathered to change the throne once and for all. Now, Kaleen Bhaiya has a very clear run to the throne as there is no strong competition left to fight for his place. But for Kaleen Bhaiya, what is important is family and the heir to his Gaddi. So the first thing he does is meet his wife, Beena Tripathi (Rasika Dugal). Kaleen Bhaiya’s involvement ends the moment he meets Beena this season, and we are not shown what follows. However, one should recall the scene where Madhuri warns Kaleen to do what she says if he wants Guddu Pandit. This means killing Sharad could be her order. And this also means she might have told Kaleen about Beena being involved against him.
When Kaleen Bhaiya goes to the prison to get Guddu, he realizes that Guddu has already escaped. In the next scene, we see Guddu meeting Golu in a boat, probably on the borders of Mirzapur. This means the two are now on the run and will be undercover, at least at the beginning of Season 4. The scene also establishes the fact that they are now in love, and the story is not just about survival but also about keeping their love alive. The two now hold no power over Mirzapur, and their reign was short-lived. But will Guddu accept that? Clearly not. It will be fun to see where Season 4 goes with them.
While the comparisons with Game of Thrones are inevitable, Mirzapur pulled off an MCU trope. The show has a post-credit scene in Episode 10, and you must not miss it. The house help, who was loyal to Beena, has come to meet a certain Khan. Soon, Khan appears out of a place that looks like a mine and meets her. Khan is none other than Maqbool. It could be Beena’s new plan or her calling him for Kaleen Bhaiya. With Akhandanand now being alone and impossible to trust, the guards will need a new hand whom he can trust in all business. Season 4 will also mark Maqbool’s return to Mirzapur.
