Mirzapur 4: Ali Fazal says he feels sorry for Guddu Pandit hinting at a tragic future for the character

One of the most famous shows in the history of Indian streaming is Mirzapur which has a massive fanbase. While there are a lot of characters that have become pop culture references, nothing comes close to the frenzy that Guddu Pandit enjoys. Played by Ali Fazal, the character is one of the most loved characters of the show, and the viewers are excited to see where he goes as the show now branches out into a spin-off movie and also continues to be a show. Ali Fazal, now talking about Guddu Pandit, has said he feels sorry about him and that he finds no redemption arc, giving a hint into Mirzapur Season 4. 

Ali Fazal Feels Sorry For Guddu Pandit

Mirzapur Season 4 is one of the most anticipated shows across the country, and fans are curious to know what is being planned. In Season 3, we saw Guddu Pandit first succumbing to power until he became so ignorant that he cared about no one. His pride is brought down when Kaleen returns, and Guddu is tortured, where he once again loses the throne of Purvanchal. Now Ali Fazal has hinted that things do not get better for Guddu Pandit.

In an interview with The Nod, Ali Fazal, talking about Mirzapur, said that Guddu Pandit doesn't have any redemption arc because the only thing he now loses is his sanity. We have already seen the descent of his sanity in Season 3, and it seems like it only continues. Ali said that he feels sorry for Guddu. This could very much hint that Season 4 is not going to be easy for Guddu fans as things only get more difficult for them.

Divyenndu on Mirzapur: The Film

Luckily, Divyenndu, who plays Munna Bhaiya on the cult show franchise, makes his return to Mirzapur: The Film. This hints at the movie being a kind of prequel because the character is dead in the present day. The actor recently joined OTTplay ahead of the release of his Amazon Prime Video original film Agni, directed by Rahul Dholakia. When quizzed about Mirzapur: The Film, he confessed he cannot talk much about it now, but it is a very good script and made especially for the audience.

In the exclusive conversation, we asked Divyenndu what exactly he could tell us about Mirzapur: The Film and where it fits in terms of the timeline. Reacting to the question, Divyenndu said, “The makers will kill me if I reveal it.” Sayami Kher added, “There won't be any Divyenndu then.”

Divyenndu continued, “What I can tell you is, everyone knows Mirzapur: The Film is in the making. Whatever I have heard so far is fun to the next level (Bohot zyada mazedaar). I cannot reveal anything more than that. I can save myself by saying this. It is just that we are trying to make the best entertaining film possible. Exactly what the audience and fans want. There are some projects that are made according to the fans, and Mirzapur: The Film is like that. Let's serve the people what they want.” To which Pratik Gandhi added, “So for this answer, Munna Bhaiya hasn't thought anything immediately; he will think and let you know.”
