Mirzapur 3 makers released a bonus episode to give fans more of Divyenndu's character, Munna bhaiya. Munna is now dead in the series, but seeing how fans are fans of the character, the makers decided to bring him back briefly. Unfortunately for them, netizens were not impressed with the bonus episode. Here are some reactions from them...

"Desperate move"

A Reddit user started a thread by revealing spoilers from the episode, thus justifying why he/she/they feel that the bonus episode was a desperate move. This user also felt that reducing Kaleen Bhaiya's screen time was not a smart move.

All netizens in the comments agree

Most of the netizens called it the makers trying to beg the viewers to watch Mirzapur season 4. Many others called it a wasted final chance. Another said that the OTT platform is milking Mirzapur like the video game, GTA. A user mentioned how the series set a benchmark in 2018 and worked till 2020, too, but with so much content taking over, it has failed to keep up.

"A lost cause"

A user called Mirzapur 3 a lost cause while criticizing both the writers as well as actors. Like many, this user hoped to see more of Kaleen Bhaiya and Beena, with their changing character graph. Since that did not make it to the show, it got criticism, with the bonus episode just adding to it.

All episodes of Mirzapur 3 are now available for streaming on Prime Video. While 10 episodes of the series were already out on July 5, the latest bonus episode release on August 30.

This season featured Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit (who lost his brother and wife to Munna Bhaiya by season 2), Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi as Golu, Lilliput as Dadda Tyagi, Vijay Varma as Shatru Tyagi, Isha Talwar as Madhuri Yadav, Anjum Sharma as Sharad Shukla, and Meghna Malik as Shakuntala Shukla.
