Mirzapur 2’s third anniversary: Ali Fazal shares BTS pictures from the set

The second season of popular crime thriller series, Mirzapur, is marking three years of its making. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Mirzapur is a story about ambition, crime and power. The plot revolves around intense rivalry between two lead characters - Guddu and Munna Bhaiya. To celebrate the milestone, Ali Fazal shared a series of pictures from the set of Mirzapur 2.

BTS pictures from Mirzapur Season 2

Ali took to Instagram to share a collection of behind-the-scenes pictures from Mirzapur 2 set. The first picture shows Guddu (Ali), Munna (Divyendu) and Gajgamini Gupta (Shweta) striking a pose for the camera. The third picture features Pankaj in his character Kaleen Bhaiya, dressed in a black kurta-pajama, topped with a black vest and black shades. The eighth picture showcases Shaji Choudhary, who plays the character of Maqbool, Kaleen’s trusted right-hand man in the series. “3 years to this season of Mirzapur.. #3YearsToMirzapurOnPrime S2,” Ali captioned the post.

Mirzapur 3 upcoming release

Mirzapur Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2018 and garnered acclaim from the audience. The second season premiered in 2020 and the fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video soon. It is anticipated that season 3 will showcase Kaleen Bhaiya’s attempts at reclaiming his position in Mirzapur. Directed by Karan Anshuman, Puneet Krishna and Vineet Krishna, the series also features Vikrant Massey, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Isha Talwar in key roles.
