The makers of RDX are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the action-thriller makes for an entertaining theatrical experience. After roping in Vikram and KGF stunt choreographers Anbariv, the team has got Vikram Vedha and Kaithi music director Sam CS to compose the tracks as well as the score of the film, which has Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese and Neeraj Madhav in the lead.

Sam had earlier worked in Malayalam in the Mohanlal-starrer Odiyan a few years ago, in which he had composed the background score. He was also in talks for My Story director Roshni’s film, Two Stroke.

RDX, meanwhile, is produced by the makers of Minnal Murali and Bangalore Days – Weekend Blockbusters. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, the film’s director Nahas Hidayath had told us that the producers were looking for a film that would bring back the audience to theatres again and that’s one of the reasons they decided to go ahead with an action movie.

“Antony, Shane and Neeraj will be playing roles that they haven’t done before,” he said, adding that the three of them will be playing youngsters based in Kochi. Shane plays Robert in the movie while Antony will be essaying Doney and Neeraj, Xavier. The film, which will be told through an action-oriented narrative, will also have Mahima Nambiar and Aima Rosmy Sebastian as part of its cast.

The movie’s pooja function was held on August 17 and the film’s shoot is expected to begin in full swing by August 25 with Kochi as the main location. Scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Shahbaz Rasheed, the film will mark Nahas debut directorial. Nahas, who had started shooting for Aaravam with Antony in 2020, had to shelve the project due to the pandemic lockdown. He, meanwhile, had shot a short film titled Colour Padam, starring Aswin Jose and Mamitha Baiju.
