Durga Puja is here and Mimi Chakraborty is leaving no stone unturned to celebrate the festival. The actress’ social media page has already started sending festive vibes. The actress has been keeping her fans updated with her gorgeous ethnic picks. But that is not all. She is all geared up to drop her Pujor Gaan.
Pujor gaan – a tradition of releasing albums and singles before the festival of Durga Puja – is an integral part of Bengali culture. Traditionally, all musicians encash this festive season and drop their new releases. Anupam Roy has already dropped his Pujor gaan with a heartwarming video with Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Angana Roy. Mimi too will be dropping her song on September 24 – a day before Mahalaya.
The actress has been sharing teasers on her Instagram. On Friday, she shared a video of dhunuchi naach in traditional lal-par-sada-shari (white sari with a red border). In another video with Ma Durga's backdrop, she announced that the video, Amader Pujor Gaan, will be released on Saturday at 11 am on her YouTube Channel.
Mimi’s next film Arindam Sil’s Khela Jokhon is slated to release later this year. has already started her Bollywood outings. The actress will be seen with Paresh Rawal in Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Hindi remake of Posto. The Bengali version also features Mimi, along with Jisshu U Sengupta, Soumitra Chatterjee, and others. Now the actress has got an offer to work on a web series for a leading national OTT platform. As per sources, the actress will be seen opposite Ali Fazal.
