The Flash has already become a big project that fans of the superhero genre are eagerly looking forward to. Perhaps the return of Michael Keaton as Batman in the movie is one of the highlights of the DCEU project.
The actor has now opened up about returning to the role of The Caped Crusader, saying that he was considered returning to Batman before he was even approached by studio execs at Warner Bros. for a role in The Flash.
Talking in an interview on The Jess Cagle Show, the actor also talked about the difference between playing Batman then and now. “It was a job”, said Keaton about his role in 1989's Batman. “And then the next one was a job, and I enjoyed it. But then over time — and then the third one, I just couldn’t do it.” said Keaton.
The actor added that then he told himself that he just could not do it and that he could not live with himself and eventually walked away from the role. Keaton’s portrayal of Batman was a big hit and is still a fan-favourite among fans.
The actor also talked about The Flash director Andy Muschietti, saying that he has been having fun on his return as Batman in The Flash and also that the director has helped a lot with this.

Apart from Keaton returning as Batman in The Flash, Ben Affleck's DC Extended Universe version of the Dark Knight will also be making an appearance in The Flash. While not much has been revealed about both the Batmans, Keaton’s Batman costume got a first look at last year's DC FanDome.
