Filmmaker Anurag Basu's movie, Metro... In Dino, has been in the making for a while now. The movie's release dates were announced a few times. There's no update about an official new release date of the movie, which boasts an ensemble star cast. Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is a part of Metro... In Dino, recently shared her experience working with Anurag on the film. The actress revealed the filmmaker and his wife were by her side on her low days.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Fatima was asked if it is logistically easy to work with a director, whose film shoots extend beyond the planned schedule. Responding to it, the actress said it is easy for her.
"As a director, he is considerate and takes care of you. People think if the film is taking long, a lot of shoot is being done. But that’s not the case. Since his films have an ensemble cast, he has to coordinate the dates of so many actors. If you trust him, he will get the best performance out of you. Also, his characters are so well-written," she told the tabloid.
The actress revealed that Anurag works according to each actor's strengths. Giving an example, Fatima elaborated, "If there is a monologue and he knows that I’ll have trouble with dialogues, he will ask me to learn the scene, but to not have a [sur] or a preconceived notion in my mind about how it should play out."

Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro... In Dino is an anthology that stars Ali Fazal, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher. As per media reports, some portions of the film had to be re-shot as the director wasn't satisfied with them. The movie was earlier set to release on November 29, 2024. However, it got delayed and the new release date is awaited.
