Valentine's Day (February 14) gets a little sweeter as a new rom-com K-drama, titled, Melo Movie, is releasing on OTT. Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young will romance each other in the show. The series is about ambitious young people who aspire to love and fulfill their dreams, meet and inspire each other, and overcome their tragedies. As the release date is near, here are the release details of Melo Movie.

Melo Movie will feature a film buff and an aspiring film director who reconnect after a mysterious incident. The series explores themes of romance, healing, and past traumas while highlighting the couple's relationship as they navigate love, career ambitions, and personal trauma.
Speaking about their characters, Ko Gyeom (Choi Woo-shik) is a film buff. He becomes a film critic and passionate about movies and wants to watch every film ever made.
On the other hand, Kim Mubee (Park Bo-young), is an aspiring film director with a complicated past. Her association with cinema is bittersweet, shaped by her father's obsessive love for the medium.
The one-minute-34-second trailer begins with Park Bo-young and Choi Woo-shik sharing their thoughts and discussing films. When Ko Gyeom asks Kim Mubee what kind of movie she wants to make, Mubee replies, “An awesome Melo movie (melodrama).”
Melo Movie tells the story of Kim Mu-bee, an aspiring filmmaker, and film buff Ko Gyeom, a part-time actor, who meet each other during their university days. Attracted by Mubee's name, which sounds like 'movie', Gyeom becomes interested in her and eventually falls in love. However, their relationship pauses when Gyeom suddenly ghosts Mubee, abandoning her without explanation. Years later, Mubee, now a struggling filmmaker, runs into Gyeom during a project. How their love will grow? For this, you need to wait for the series to release on February 14.
The series is directed by Oh Choong-hwan, known for hits like Hotel del Luna and Start-Up. He joined forces with Our Beloved Summer writer Lee Na-eun for Melo Movie.
Apart from Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young, the cast also features Lee Jun-young (Mask Girl, Badland Hunters) as Hong Si-jun, an aspiring musician and Gyeom’s best friend, and Jeon So-nee (Parasyte: The Grey, Our Blooming Youth) as Son Ju-a, Si-jun’s ex-girlfriend.
