Meiyazhagan OTT partner: Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s film to stream on this platform after theatrical run

Meiyazhagan, the upcoming Tamil film starring actors Karthi and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles, is all set to hit theatres on September 27. With just one more day to go for the release, the streaming partner platform of the film is out. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Meiyazhagan.

Meiyazhagan OTT partner revealed

Karthi and Arvind Swamy will share the screen space for the first time in Meiyazhagan. The film is all set to hit big screens on September 27. Now, we have got to know that the film’s streaming partner platform is Netflix for a fancy price. However, the official OTT release date will be revealed by the makers and platform only after the film is nearing the end of its theatrical run.

Meiyazhagan is written and directed by Prem Kumar, who earlier made the critically acclaimed film 96. The upcoming film marks the director’s second film after 96 and first collaboration with Karthi. Bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under the banner 2D Entertainment, Meiyazhagan is an emotional drama which revolves around two men who are related to each other and the events that unfold between them over a night. The film has been receiving good word of mouth after the premiere show conducted by the makers.

Meiyazhagan also stars Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Saran and others. The technical crew of the film consists of Mahendran Jayaraju cranking the camera and Govind Vasantha scoring the music. Actor Kamal Haasan has also lent his voice for one of the tracks in the film. R Givindaraj has handled the edits.

Meiyazhagan revolves around a man from Chennai who returns to his native in Thanjavur to attend a wedding of his sister. How much ever he wishes to return to Chennai, circumstances lead to him missing his bus and taking shelter in one of his relative’s homes played by Karthi.
