Legal drama series Suits found a new lease of life recently when the show dropped on Netflix with all its nine seasons now made available on the streamer. Created by Aaron Korsh, Suits debuted in 2011 to extremely encouraging reviews and viewership and has since then seen a sprawling and highly dramatic storyline traversed across multiple successful seasons, with an enterprising cast at its centre.
While the ensemble cast comprises several players, Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter, Patrick J. Adams as Michael Ross, Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt, Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson, Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen and Meghan Markle as Rachel Elizabeth Zane would form the principal cast. Katherine Heigl, Dulé Hill and Amanda Schull, too, would play prominent characters in the intense legal drama. The series finale, titled 'One Last Con', aired on September 25, 2019.
However, all the many million hardcore Suits fans out there would be thrilled to know that the makers are plotting a sure-shot comeback. As per Deadline, the new iteration will not mark a reboot or a spinoff but will be part of an extended universe boasting a whole new storyline, characters and location, among other things. Deadline also says that Los Angeles could be the new chosen backdrop, unlike the New York City setting that the first nine seasons utilized.

Over the years, Suits has achieved cult status due to myriad factors. Of course, one of the highlights of the show remained the camaraderie and relationship between Harvey Specter and Mike Ross but fans would also recognize the significance that Meghan Markle's character Rachel Zane had on its success. It would be safe to say that Markle, who would go on to become a member of the British royal family following her marriage to Prince Harry, found a lot of prominence as an actor for her 'Suits' stint. She would retire from acting upon her marriage in 2018 but both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would step down as working royals to later settle down in California.
