The team of Thiruchitrambalam had unveiled its first single Thaai Kelavi recently. Fans of Dhanush and Anirudh were elated to see their favourite DnA combo teaming up together after a seven-year hiatus. They have now released the second single Megham Karukatha, which has lyrics penned by Dhanush himself apart from lending voice to the melody.

The five-minute lyric video also features a few BTS moments featuring Dhanush shaking a leg with Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar, who play female leads in the movie.

The song reminds of the chartbuster track Po Indru Neeyaga, which was also created by DnA for the super hit film Velaiilla Pattadhari in 2014. But unlike the seven-year-old song, Megham Karukatha revolves around a youngster's romance with three girls.

Fans of Dhanush, who are thrilled with the lyric video, have started guessing on the actress with whom he will be paired opposite in the movie till the end. Thiruchitrambalam, which has been helmed by Mithran K Jawahar, will hit the screens on August 18. Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja are other actors who will be seen playing important roles in the movie.

Om Prakash and GK Prasanna have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project which has art direction by Jacki. Stunt Silva has composed action scenes while Satish Krishnan has choreographed dance sequences for the movie.

Thiruchitrambalam will be Dhanush's first film to release in theatres after the second wave of pandemic. His last three movies were direct OTT releases, and his Hollywood debut, The Gray Man, too, is slated for a release on Netflix on July 22. Though the Russo Brothers' directorial has been released in a few theatres, it is essentially a Netflix movie.
