Only a few days ago, popular choreographer Raja Kalai Kumar's directorial debut 'Cheetah' went on floors with the team revealing that Prajwal Devaraj will be the male lead of the film. In the same vein, reports from media outlets disclosed that Ashima Narwal, known for her roles in Telugu and Tamil films like Natakam, Jessie and others, was to play the female lead opposite the Dynamic Prince.

However, we now hear that owing to scheduling conflicts, Ashima has walked out of the project and that she has been replaced by Kannada's own Megha Shetty. The same reports reveal that the popular TV actress has already joined the team for the ongoing shooting schedule. This would be the first time that she's sharing the screen with Prajwal Devaraj in a film.

Megha, of course, began her acting journey with the 2019 Kannada serial Jothe Jotheyali which emerged as a huge success, making her a household name during its name. Viewers were particularly attracted to her role as the sweet-and-simple, unassuming young girl who would get married to a much older man (Aniruddha Jatkar playing that role) and bargaining on this success, she would foray into cinema.

Her debut film came in the form of 'Dilpasand', a romantic comedy also starring Darling Krishna and Nishvika Naidu which did not work very well at the box office. Megha Shetty would then go on to be part of another multistarrer, 'Tribble Riding', alongside Golden Star Ganesh and unfortunately, that film, too, failed to work at the box office. She will be seen opposite Vinay Rajkumar in 'Gramayana' and in Jayatheertha's 'Kaiva', opposite Dhanveerah.

Prajwal Devaraj, on the other hand, was last seen in a brooding cop avatar in 'Tatsama Tadbhava' and his performance in the film impressed both critics and audiences. Aside from Cheetah, which is currently on floors, he also has the action thriller 'Mafia' and the commercial entertainer 'Gana' up for release.
