Megha Akash, who forayed into Telugu cinema with Nithiin's Lie and made a mark with films like Thoota, Dear Megha and Peta to name a few, will be part of another rom-com titled Maate Manthramu. Abhimanyu Baddi, a protege of filmmaker A Sushanth Reddy (the director of Dear Megha), directs the film. Also produced by A Sushanth Reddy and Abishek Kota, the film is presented by Megha Akash's mother Bindu Akash. The actress' first look from the film was launched commemorating her birthday today.
The Lie actress is cast as Kavya in Maate Manthramu. In her first look from the film, she, while smoking a cigarette, is seen holding a hockey stick, donning a red over-coat and denims. There are several elements that complete Kavya's world - including her love for holidaying, her love-life, photography and going by the look, there's a badass side to her that'll come through in the narrative. From shades to a lighthouse to a bag and jeep, this is indeed a colourful introduction to Kavya.
Rahul Vijay plays the male lead in the light-hearted entertainer that also features Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Abhay Bethiganti, Viva Harsha, Bigboss Siri. The film was largely shot across Goa in addition to select locations in Hyderabad. Maate Manthramu has already wrapped up shoot and the makers plan to announce the release date shortly. Hari Gowra is the music director of the film which is cinematographed and edited by Manojh Reddy and Prawin Pudi respectively.
