Fans of Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi and Jayam Ravi are awaiting the release of Ponniyin Selvan which will hit the screens across the world in a few hours. Every character in the movie is expected to leave a huge impact, and fans of the novel of the same title are equally thrilled.

The set of intriguing conflicts and complex characters are prime highlights of the story, and cinephiles can't wait to watch how the maverick filmmaker has made the first installment of the two-part movie.

Mani had plans to make the novel into a film with a huge canvas earlier too. He attempted thrice with different sets of actors, but couldn't pull it off owing to various reasons. One of the interesting roles to watch out for in the film is Nandini, essayed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Actress Meena has now taken to her Twitter page to reveal that she is jealous of the former Miss World for having bagged the opportunity to play Nandini in the project. She also added that she can't keep this as a secret any more, and that this is the first time she is envying someone.

Meena also tagged Sarath Kumar, Trisha, Karthi and Jayam Ravi and wished success to the entire team of Ponniyin Selvan. Apparently, Nandini has always been a dream character for the actress.

Her tweet read, "Ok, I can't keep it under wraps anymore. It's suffocating me. Wanna take off my chest... For the 1st time in my life I'm feeling jealous of someone. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Cos she got to play MY dream character NANDINI in PS1 . Wishing the cast & crew All the Best for success (sic)."
