Mayurakshi OTT release: When and where to watch Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s intense drama

Directed by Atanu Ghosh, Mayurakshi was released in 2017 with Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead. The film won the Best Bengali Feature Film at the 65th National Film Awards. This critically acclaimed film also features Gargi RoyChowdhury, Sudipta Chakraborty, and Indrani Halder and tells a poignant story of the reunion and rediscovery of an octogenarian father and his middle-aged son.

Seven years after the release, the film finally got released in Hoichoi on May 31.  

Mayurakshi, directed by Atanu Ghosh, is now available for streaming on Hoichoi from today. 

The narrative follows a retired professor (played by the late Soumitra Chatterjee), who is dealing with neurological issues like dementia, as he reconnects with his NRI son (portrayed by Prosenjit Chatterjee), who is going through a challenging phase in his life. Their emotional journey reopens several chapters, leading to significant changes in both their lives. 

Mayurakshi has been honored with the Best Bengali Feature Film award at the 65th National Film Awards and has received multiple accolades from Filmfare East and WBFJA.
