MasterChef India 9 announced! Auditions to begin on October 20; here's all you need to know

MasterChef India has been renewed for a new season. After a successful eighth edition, the makers are returning with MasterChef India 9. The culinary show will have people from different walks of life participate as contestants. A while ago, SonyLIV dropped the first promo of MasterChef India 9 on its official Instagram handle. It has all the details about the show's audition process which will begin on October 20, 2024.

MasterChef India season 9 announced

SonyLIV dropped the first promo of MasterChef India season 9 on social media. The caption to the post read, "India is looking for its next MasterChef. MasterChefIndia auditions start 20th October (sic)."

As per the promo, MasterChef India 9's auditions will be held on October 20 at Central Academy in Delhi. It will be followed by an audition round in Kolkata on October 23 at Purushottam Bhagchandka Academic School. On October 27, MasterChef India 9's audition round will happen at Pawar Public School in Mumbai.

Mohammed Ashiq on winning MasterChef India 8

Earlier, in an interview with OTTplay, 24-year-old Mohammaed Ashiq opened up about winning MasterChef India season 8. "I aimed to be on MasterChef but I never expected (to win). Now, I am feeling like I am on the top of the world as my dream has come true," he said.

After his stint on MasterChef India 7, Mohammed revealed his mother didn't support him for season 8. She insisted he go to Saudi Arabia instead. However, he stay determined to participate and eventually win the show. "After I went for the audition, she was fine. And after knowing that I won, she is happy and people are calling her. Everybody is like 'aapka beta hai na jo MasterChef mein gaya hai'," he revealed. Once season 9 premieres online, you can watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription
