Massive update- Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara and Prabhas' Raja Saab to fight it out on this date during Sankranthi 2025, details inside

Megastar Chiranjeevi has been in the news for the last few days as he has been awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award by the government of India. Congratulatory messages have been pouring in from all quarters and a grand party was hosted by Upasana Konidela yesterday in Hyderabad.

Well, on the other hand, Chiranjeevi has also started shooting for his prestigious film Vishwambhara which is being directed by Vassishtha, of Bimbisara fame. A few days ago, the makers revealed that the film will be released on January 10, 2025, as Sankranthi 2025 special.

Ever since this news came out fans are super thrilled that the Sankranthi 2025 race is getting heated up. Now, we have come from our sources that Prabhas' Raja Saab is also gearing up to hit the screens on the same day and very soon an official announcement is also said to be made by the makers.

This year in 2024, there was a huge hue and cry for the releases as four big films fought hard to secure the release dates during the dates of January 12 to January 14, 2024. A film like Eagle was forced to move out of the race. Seeing all this tension, the makers of Raja Saab have decided to book this slot in advance and have locked January 10, 2025, as the release date.

The Sankranthi season in 2025 will also see films Akhanda 2, HanuMan sequel, Balraju's sequel, and a other few low-budget films from Telugu cinema. On the other hand, Raja Saab is being directed by Maruthi and has completed half of its shoot. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead in this film which also has Yogi Babu in a key role.

Prabhas will be seen in a very entertaining avatar after a long time in this film which is being produced by UV Creations. Meanwhile, Prabhas is shooting back-to-back films of his and will join the sets of Kalki 2898 AD on the 12th of February 2024. The makers have locked March 10, 2024, as the release date of Kalki which is being directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame.
