Masooda OTT release date: When and where to watch Thiruveer, Sangitha's horror thriller

Masooda, the low-budget horror-thriller that released in theatres this November, turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office and grew from strength to strength owing to glowing reviews and strong word of mouth. Starring Sangitha, Thiruveer, Bandhavi Sridhar, Kavya Kalyanram and Subhalekha Sudhakar in pivotal roles, the film was written and directed by Sai Kiran. The film was bankrolled by Rahul Yadav Nakka under Swadharm Entertainment.

After an impressive theatrical run, the film is set for its OTT premiere in the second half of December. Telugu OTT platform aha has acquired the streaming rights of the film and will stream it from 12 am on December 21, Wednesday. The extended weekend owing to the Christmas holiday is expected to help its viewership as well. Besides the performances, Masooda was in the news for the director's ability to stay true to the horror genre, sparkling cinematography and the background score.

Pelli Choopulu fame Nagesh Banell had cranked the camera for the film which had music by Prashanth R Vihari. The story revolves around Gopi, a timid software employee who works at a software firm, who shares a special rapport with his neighbour Neelam and her daughter Nazia. While Gopi falls for his colleague Mini, his love life doesn’t take off as expected. He faces the biggest test of his life when he realises that Nazia is possessed. How far will he go to save her?

Satyam Rajesh, Satya Prakash, Surya Rao, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Krishna Teja, Karthik Adusumilli too played other key roles in the film. With art direction by Kranthi Priyam, the horror-thriller was edited by Jesvin Prabu and sound design by Sync Cinema. Ram Krishan and Stunt Jashuva worked on the action choreography.
