The much-awaited trailer of Dhruva Sarja’s next, Martin, was released on August 5 at an ‘international press meet’ in Mumbai. The trailer as it turns out, is the same that the team unveiled at a fan event a day earlier in Bengaluru, although Dhruva had said it would be different one. And now that it is here, netizens have also been weighing in on what they thought of it.

As it stands out, audiences seemed to be distinctly divided in their reaction to the trailer. While some have loved the action-packed visual spectacle, others are less than impressed.

Comments ranged from, “Production values and action is going to be a feast, but doubtful about quality of screenplay and Dhruva Sarja’s acting”, “Benki”, “Impressive trailer cut; just need a good storyline. Much needed for KFI”, “Trailer is a visual treat and Ravi Basrur’s BGM is next level”, “Martin has all the potential to blossom at the Pan-India level”, “Dhruva looks evil and massive; if screenplay is good it will be his first Rs 100 crore film for sure”, “Dhruva is Mass ka naya maharaj,” and “Martin will be the highest grosser of the year 2024”, “Have not seen this ling of action in Indian cinema”, and more, in favour of the Martin trailer.

As for those who didn’t like the trailer, here’s what they had to say… “The trailer is missing the emotional connection; it’s just action, bang bang”, “Teaser was much better with some good music. Only thing that impressed in this trailer was the changes in quality and colour grading”, “Kabzaa lite”, “Next jaatre”, They just added some scenes to the teaser and released as trailer”, “Teaser sakkat agi ittu, Idu total disappointment”, “Fed up with the excess, over the top fake masculinity in the movies. Need some real vulnerable male characters as leading man with whom masses can connect emotionally,” among others.

Martin, directed by AP Arjun, is based on a story by Dhhruva’ uncle Arjun Sarja. The film also stars Vaibhavi Shandilya, Anveshi Jain, Nikitin Dheer, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Rangayana Raghu, and Ramesh Indira, among others.
