Mark Antony: Vishal and SJ Suryah's film shoot to be wrapped up soon, deets inside

The team of Vishal's Mark Antony dropped a new poster from the film along with an update that the shoot will be wrapped up soon. The poster has Vishal, SJ Suryah and Sunil in an intense look. The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, who had earlier made films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara and Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan. Taking to his social media handle, Vishal posted, "#MarkAntony Marking towards finishing! #FromTheWorldOfMarkAntony (sic)." The picture has now gone viral on social media.

The shoot for the film had been delayed after Vishal suffered multiple injuries on the sets of his previous film, Laththi. The film was an action thriller directed by debutant A Vinoth and bankrolled by actors Nandaa and Ramana.

The team of Mark Antony had recently released the character posters of Y Gee Mahendra as Gowri, Redin Kingsley as Maserati, Malaysian actor DSG as Thangaraj, the Gold and Abhinaya as Vedha. Mark Antony marks Vishal's 33rd film and has Ritu Varma playing the leading lady. The film is billed as a pan-India project and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music for the film. While Vijay Velukutty has handled the editing, Abhinandan Ramanujan is in charge of the cinematography. RK Vijai Murugan has helmed art direction for the project which has action scenes choreographed by Peter Hein, Kamal Kannan and Dhilip Subbarayan.

Vishal is all set to turn director with Thupparivaalan 2, the sequel to the thriller Thupparivaalan. While Mysskin, who directed the original, had begun scouting for locations for the sequel, there seems to have been a fallout between Vishal and the director over creative differences and Mysskin opted out of the film. Vishal then announced that he will step in as the director. There has been no update thereafter.
