The wait is over. The much-awaited gangster flick, Mark Antony, which stars Vishal and SJ Suryah in the lead, has just dropped on Amazon Prime Video. The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
Mark Antony drops on Prime Video
Prime Video recently announced that the film was about to drop on its platform on October 13 at 12 am. The caption read, "A laughter fest taking you beyond the dimensions of time (sic)! The film will also drop in Telugu.
Mark Antony hit screens on September 15 and opened to packed houses. One of the highlights of the film was the performance of SJ Suryah. OTTplay critic P Sangeetha had written in her review, "Mark Antony is a classic example of mindless fun which packs a punch. Vishal is back with a bang, but it's SJ Suryah, who is the real star of the show. Watch it for his high-voltage performance."
Vishal expresses his happiness
Vishal had recently shared his excitement about the film as Mark Antony completed 25 days of release. His post on social media read, "Absolutely delighted to share the landmark 25th day of the Mega Blockbuster #MarkAntony running in theatres near you. Feeling ecstatic that you all loved the movie & entered the #WorldOfMarkAntony every passing day since 15th Sep. "
He added, "Thanking each & everyone of you and credits to the entire cast & crew of #TeamMarkAntony for making this a humongous hit, many thanks and I bow down to one and all who respected the film and came to watch the movie in theatres worldwide (sic)."
Star cast and crew
Both Vishal and SJ Suryah appear in a dual avatar in the film, as father and son. The star cast comprises Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Redin Kingsley and YG Mahendran. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editing by Vijay Velukutty.The film is bankrolled by S Vinod Kumar.
