The makers of Mark Antony have been awaiting the release of the film in Tamil and Telugu on September 15. Adhik Ravichandran has directed the movie which stars Vishal in the lead. Selvaraghavan, SJ Suryah, Ritu Varma and Sunil essay pivotal characters in the movie.

The gangster drama will be released in Hindi under the same title on September 22. The team unveiled the Hindi trailer the other day in Mumbai and interacted with the press there. Vishal was in the news when he paid a visit to a temple in Mumbai after the trailer launch.

Madras High Court issues a stay for Vishal's Mark Antony?

Cinephiles were in for a surprise when news started doing the rounds that the Madras High Court had issued a stay on the movie's release. Movie buffs were perplexed over the reason behind the same. It was heard that Vishal owed a sum to Lyca Productions, and the production house approached the court requesting the stay.

However, Vinod Kumar, the producer of the film took to Twitter to quash this as a baseless rumour and said that he would take legal action against the television channel that propounded the news.

Mark Antony to have a solo release

The film was supposed to have a clash with Chandramukhi 2 at the box office in both Kollywood and Tollywood. However, the latter has postponed its release by a couple of weeks. The makers have cited pending post-production works as the reason.

This has now given the upper hand to Mark Antony. The movie which has time travel element as its USP is set to open big at the box office. This is Vishal's first outing of 2023, and it is riding on good expectations.
