Actor-producer Mansoor Ali Khan is at the centre of a raging controversy over the inappropriate comments that he made about his Leo co-star Trisha during a recent press interaction. Despite mounting pressure and criticism, Mansoor remains defiant by refusing to apologise to Trisha.

"What is this foolishness? I should only ask apology if I have made any mistake, no? I don't belong to a creed of men who seek apology. I have not made any mistake. These are false allegations," Mansoor told Indiaglitz in a recent interview.

Mansoor defended his statement by making counter-allegations against unidentified people. He alleged that there was a political conspiracy afoot to tarnish his image. He also claimed that he has a good reputation in the film industry for the way he treats his female colleagues. He claimed that so far there was not a single instance in his long career when he made his female colleagues feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

"I spoke at the time as an artist. My comments were not directed at Trisha in any personal way. That was never my intention," he added.

Mansoor went on to allege that the viral video shows his comments out of context. He claimed that people will understand the truth when they watch the unedited version of the video. "If required I will appear before Nadigar Sangam and Trisha and show them the full video," he said.

A day after Mansoor's comments sparked massive outrage, Nadigar Sangam, aka South Indian Artistes' Association, issued a stern warning . It also revealed its willingness to suspend the membership of the actor, if he fail to issue an unconditional apology for his comments.

The who's who of the Tamil film industry rallied behind Trisha after she lashed out at Mansoor for his distasteful comments. And she also vowed never to share the screen space again in future.
