Manmatha Leelai trailer: Ashok Selvan’s womanising behaviour leads to chaos

As promised, the makers of Manmatha Leelai have unveiled the upcoming film’s trailer today. The trailer shows Ashok Selvan as a womanising young man, whose playboy ways usher in chaos into his life.

The trailer, just over two minutes long, shows the extent of Selvan’s character’s womanising behaviour, which even prompt him to commit infidelity. Unable to keep his hands off of women, he is seen trying to woo them in different phases of his life, not even learning from the mistakes of his past. His unrelenting habit leads to chaos in his life, as he scrambles to keep his affairs a secret from his wife.

In addition to Selvan, Smruthi Venkat, Samyukta Hegde and Riya Suman star as the female leads in the film. They also make appearances in the trailer. Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran and Jayaprakash also essay pivotal roles in Manmatha Leelai.

The upcoming film is touted to be an adult romantic comedy and is directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film marks the first collaboration between Selvan and Prabhu. The bilingual film will be released in Tamil and Telugu. In Telugu, the film is titled Manmadha Leela.

The upcoming film, which has music composed by Premgi Amaren, is bankrolled by T Muruganantham under the banner of Rockfort Entertainment. Manivannan Balasubramaniam and Prabhu have penned the dialogues and screenplay for the film. The film’s cinematography is handled by Thamizh A Azhagan, while the editing is by Venkat Raajen. Stunt Silva has performed the stunts for the film.

Manmatha Leelai will be released in theatres on April 1, 2022.
