The momentum that the latest Malayalam movie, Manjummel Boys, is enjoying at the Tamil Nadu box office continues to gain more strength. Amid the film's terrific performance in the state, the cast and crew have launched full-fledged promotions to capitalize on its growing popularity.
The team behind Manjummel Boys, including director Chidambaram S Poduval and actors Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, and Ganapathi S. Poduval, among others, met Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin as part of the promotions.
Udhayanidhi, who is an actor and producer himself, has heaped praise on the team for delivering a "quality film." He took to his social media accounts to congratulate the team, while encouraging audiences to watch the movie.
"The recently released Malayalam movie #ManjummelBoys has been well-received by everyone. On this occasion, I met the film crew in person today. They thanked us (the Tamil audience) for appreciating the film and expressed their love. My congratulations to the team for delivering such a quality film, #ManjummelBoys, in all aspects, be it cinematography, background music, screenplay, visuals," Udhayanidhi said.
This is not the first time that Udhayanidhi has endorsed Manjummel Boys. A few days ago, he tweeted expressing his amusement, while strongly recommending his followers with a "don't miss it" advice.
Manjummel Boys also received a significant boost to promotions with Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan extending his support to the movie . He invited the cast and crew to his office and discussed the film with them.

The success of Manjummel Boys in Tamil Nadu is connected with the film's narrative link to the cult classic Gunaa. The film has heavily leaned into Gunaa's nostalgia, and it has strongly resonated with the audiences in Tamil Nadu.
When Kamal met the Manjummel Boys team, director-actor Santhana Bharathi, the director of Gunaa, was also in attendance.
Manjummel Boys has already emerged as the first biggest Malayalam hit in Tamil Nadu after a long time. Going by the trends, the film might become the all-time highest-grossing Malayalam film at the Tamil Nadu box office.
